KANCHEEPURAM: A two-day annual conference on surgical emergencies will be held at Meenakshi Medical College Hospital at Enathur from Saturday. Organising chairman of the meet Jeevarathinam told reporters that 20 eminent surgeons would deliver lectures at the conference of Surgeons of India, Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry Chapters and Indian Association of Endocrine Surgeons.
Competitions and paper presentation by medical students would also form part of the conference organised jointly by the Meenakshi University and Arignar Anna Regional Cancer Centre.
Prior to the annual conference a workshop on cancer treatment would be held on Thursday and a continuing medical programme on latest techniques in cancer treatment on Friday at the Medical College campus, they said.
