dated August 10, 1957: Scooters for P&T Dept.

Scooters may be used by the Post and Telegraph Department for delivery of express letters in the near future, Mr. Lal Bahadur Shastri, Minister for Communications and Transport, said in the Lok Sabha on August 8. He said that of late there had been many complaints of late delivery of express letters. He had, therefore, suggested to the P and T Department to examine the possibility of using scooters to expedite delivery of express letters.
