Rs. 10 crore for Rajkumar memorial

BANGALORE: The State Government has decided to construct a Dr. Rajkumar memorial at Kanteerava Studios in Bangalore with an estimated cost of Rs. 10 crore on two and half acres.
This was announced by Kannada and Culture Minister H. S. Mahadeva Prasad after a first meeting of the Dr. Rajkumar Memorial Trust here on Thursday.
Addressing presspersons, Mr. Prasad said the nine-member trust headed by Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy had been constituted with regard to construction of the memorial and the memorial work would be completed in 18 months. Mr. Kumaraswamy and Deputy Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa will lay the foundation stone to the memorial soon, he said.
Mr. Prasad said Rs. 3 crore had been released recently and the amount had been transferred to the trust.
