Attack on Taslima decried

All India Democratic Women’s Association has condemned the attack on writer Taslima Nasreen by MIM MLA Akbaruddin.

The attack was not only infringement of the freedom of speech but also suppression of women, according to AIDWA district secretary B. Prabhavathi. In another statement, Mahila Chetana leader K. Padma also condemned the attack.
