BANGALORE: A 26-year-old man, an employee of the Reliance group in Bangalore, was hacked to death in Nelamangala town in Bangalore Rural district on Thursday. The police gave the name of the dead as B.K. Murthy, a resident of Lohit Nagar in Nelamangala. Around 1.30 p.m. two men attacked Murthy with swords near his house. He died on the spot, the police said. The Nelamangala police, who have registered a case, suspect that Kemaparaj and his accomplice had attacked Murthy following rivalry. Arrested
The Silver Jubilee Park police arrested three persons on the charge of theft and recovered from them 15 mobile phones, together valued at Rs. 1 lakh. The police gave the names of the accused as Prabhu alias Madan (20) of Haleguddadahalli, Viji (19) of Azadnagar and Wasim (19) of Azadnagar. Recovered
The Chickpet police arrested Vinod (19) of Padarayanapura on the charge of theft and recovered from him gold and diamond jewellery estimated at Rs. 1 lakh. The accused stole the valuables from a doctor’s first floor room in St. John’s Medical College Hospital guesthouse in the Madivala police station limits, the police said.
