IMA plea to Government

KOCHI: The State Government should make the Health Service attractive and it is the only way to attract youngsters to it, according to the Indian Medical Association (IMA) State unit.

Reacting to the Health Secretary’s statement that non-compliance with the imposed Compulsory Rural Service posting of postgraduate doctors will result in cancellation of registration, R. Ramesh, secretary, and C.K. Chandrasekharan, president of the IMA State unit, said in a statement issued here on Thursday that the State Government should address the demands of the junior doctors in the perspective of the years of training they had spent.
