Rupa in lead

Kodaikanal: Blessed by excellent weather, the third round in the South India Ladies golf competition at the Kodaikanal Golf Club contributed to an interesting day with Rupa Gurunath continuing to maintain the status as the leader of the pack.

Rupa (from Chennai), who led the table thus far, finished the third round with an aggregate of 238 followed by Meher Atwal (New Delhi) with 240 (best round of the day 75) and Lalitha Balasubramanian (Chennai) with 241(best round of the day 76).

Gold: Rupa Gurunath (238) Chennai; Meher Atwal (240) Delhi; Lalitha Balasubramanian (241) Chennai; G. Shweta (242) Delhi; Sonam Chugh( 242) Mysore.

Silver: Gauri Monga (254) Delhi; Dimple Singh Kochar (265) Delhi; Aashna Monga (265) Delhi; Raksha Phadke(277) Delhi.

Bronze: (54 holes only).

Gross winner: Mala Raju (318) Chennai; Runner-up: Rita Dogra (327) Pune. Nett. winner: Mala Raju (handicap 29) (231); Runner-up: Vedika Pervez (Handicap 36) (244).
