This Day That Age
India has rejected as false and baseless Pakistan’s allegation made in a complaint to the Security Council on August 5 that she was settling non-Muslims in Kashmir in order to reduce the Muslim majority in violation of the Security Council resolution of January 17, 1948. India pointed out in a letter to the Council President that it is impossible either legally or in terms of administrative regulations to import outsiders into Kashmir and no evacuee property had been allotted to any non-resident. From her present allegations, it was evident, said the letter, that Pakistan was attempting to sidetrack the fact that it was she who had not so far implemented the UN resolution on Kashmir.
