Man held for molesting girl

VILLUPURAM: The police on Friday arrested D.Manikandan (21), a barber at Thiruvakkarai, on the charges of molesting a seven-year-old girl.

The police said when the girl, studying in III Standard, was on her way to the panchayat union school after the lunch recess, Manikandan accosted her stating that her father had asked him to do the hair dressing to her.

He took her to the first floor of the building where he is running the saloon and molested the child. — Special Correspondent
