Action sought against “erring officials”

PUDUCHERRY: A delegation consisting of AIADMK members from Yanam met the Lt. Governor Mukut Mithi on Friday and submitted a memorandum seeking action against “erring government officials of the region,” who had allegedly committed large scale irregularities in the Public Works Department, free gas connection scheme, agriculture department, housing scheme and fisheries department.

Addressing presspersons here later, AIADMK MLA A. Anbalagan said they had asked the Lt Governor to conduct an enquiry into the issues and take action on the concerned persons.
