“35,000 from A.P. working illegally in Dubai”

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: A four-member official team from the Regional Passport Office here has so far identified about 35,000 illegal workers hailing from Andhra Pradesh in Dubai, who could be sent back home.

B. Bala Bhaskar, Regional Passport Officer, told mediapersons that the team has been dispatched as a large number of them hailed from Karimnagar, Nizamabad and Kadapa. The number could go up substantially.

The identification would ensure their safe journey back home, as the Dubai administration had fixed August 15 as the deadline for granting amnesty to such workers, he said.
