Indian journalist on Emmy awards panel

CHENNAI: Prakash M. Swamy, a New York based journalist, has been empanelled in the Emmy Awards Selection Committee.
The equivalent of the Oscar for television programmes, the Emmies focus on three sectors of programming: prime time; daytime, sports, news and documentary; and international.
Mr. Swamy was handpicked by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, New York, to serve as a judge to select the prestigious Emmy award winners. He was also admitted as member of the International and National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, New York.
He has worked with various publications including The Hindu and India Abroad.
