TIRUCHI: The Confederation of Indian Industry, Tiruchi Zone, plans to offer pre-placement training in logical reasoning and soft skills for candidates qualifying to participate in ‘TROpportunities 2007,’ the second edition of the CII’s massive placement drive, slated for the first week of October in Tiruchi.
Students who pass in a test conducted by the CII and the Chennai-based Bodhi Consultants, Knowledge Partner for the event, would qualify to undergo a day-long pre-placement training.
About 7,000 students are expected to appear for the written examination, said the Convenor of CII Tiruchi Zone’s Institute-Industry Interaction Panel K. Meena, requesting colleges to submit the list of the participating candidates before this month-end.
College students from seven districts covered by the zone would participate in the event.
The Chairman of TROpportunities 2007 told presspersons on Friday that the objective was to register an improved placement record over last year when there were 12 companies offering letters of intent to 333 out of 3,500 participants belonging to engineering and arts and science colleges.
Participation is open for final-year undergraduate and postgraduate students and those who had passed out in 2007. This year, students with Diploma qualification can also participate.
