India finished on top of Pool B with a tally of eight points with a goal difference of plus nine (12-3) followed by Spain with seven points (goal difference plus 5). Germany gained only a third spot with three points with Poland taking the last place.

In Pool A, Netherlands, which walloped Malaysia 8-2, moved to the top spot with six points followed by Belgium (6 points), England (3) and Malaysia (3).

In the semifinals, India takes on Belgium while Netherlands takes on Spain. Germany takes on Malaysia and Poland meets England in the classification matches for 5-8. The final is scheduled for Sunday. — Hockey Correspondent
