DDA officials transferred
New Delhi: Four DDA officials, accused of helping the multi-crore land scam kingpin Ashok Malhotra to fraudulently acquire plots in the Capital, have been transferred to non-sensitive posts.
“We have transferred them from Old Sale Branch (OSB) to non-sensitive posts and are awaiting the CBI report for further action against them,” DDA Vice-chairman Dinesh Rai said here.
Besides Malhotra, the agency’s FIR in the case names five DDA officials J R Gaur (Assistant Director), A K Mishra (Deputy Director), Shyam Babu (Assistant Engineer), S K Sharma (Junior Engineer) and K S Verma who has since retired.
CBI has accused these five officials of having entered into a criminal conspiracy with Malhotra and helping him to fraudulently acquire plots in Dhirpur area that were meant for resettlement of slum dwellers during 2000-02.
