JAIPUR: The Rajasthan Pavilion to be set up at the 27th India International Trade Fair (IITF)-2007 beginning at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi on November 14 will highlight the State’s progress in the processed food and agro-industries, which is the theme of this year’s fair. State Industries Minister Narpat Singh Rajvi, presiding over a review meeting on preparations for IITF here over the weekend, said the unique farm produces of Rajasthan, such as kair sangri, henna, goar gum and dry gooseberry, would be the special attractions at the pavilion. Mr. Rajvi said the private sector’s cooperation would be sought in displaying high-quality items in the exhibition. The desert State’s progress in fields such as industry, tourism, information technology, agriculture, hi-tech products, handicrafts, gems and jewellery and textiles will be also be displayed in the fair. The Rajasthan State Small Industries Corporation has been designated as the nodal agency for establishing the pavilion. Mr. Rajvi expressed the hope that a significant number of visitors to the fair would drop in at the State’s exhibition area and catch up with the products on display.
