TIRUCHI: With the outflow remaining high in the Cauvery, the district administration is maintaining a close watch on the bunds to ensure that there was no breach or leakage. Official sources here said that people in low lying areas had already been alerted through tom-toming to move to safe areas.Sand bags had been kept ready, the sources said adding that the Corporation and the panchayat unions have been asked to keep the sand bags ready to handle any emergency situation, if it were to arise. A continuous watch was being maintained by the revenue, irrigation and police officials, the sources said.
