BANGALORE: Bangalore and other cities in Karnataka have emerged leaders in the region in the sectors of garments, fabrics and accessories with annual exports now reaching Rs. 6,000 crore. The fourth annual Fabrics and Accessories Trade Show will be held from August 17 at the Export Promotion Industrial Park, Trade Centre, in Whitefield.

According to the organisers, South India Garment Association, the three-day event will have participation from major textiles manufactures, readymade garment makers and those specialising in fashion accessories, from across South India and from neighbouring countries such as Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and from others, including Indonesia and those in West Asia.

Buyers from the fashion houses of Europe who source fabrics and accessories from this region are expected to be among the business visitors as in the past three years.
