Woman succumbs to burns
Twentyseven-year-old D. Laxmi, who suffered serious burns after her husband Srinivas set her afire at their residence at Vaddera Basti in Sanathnagar on July 29, died while undergoing treatment at the Gandhi Hospital on Sunday. The police said Srinivas killed Laxmi following a family dispute.
Electrician ends life
An electrician died by hanging at his house at Shamirpet on Saturday. Twenty-eight-year-old N. Babu Rao ended his life after his wife Sujatha deserted him. Her parents also lodged a complaint against Rao for allegedly demanding additional dowry, according to the police.
Pedestrian killed in accident
A pedestrian was killed after he was run over by a car at Jubilee Hills on Sunday. M. Gopal Reddy (58), a security guard and resident of Bapunagar in Langer Houz, suffered grievous injuries on Friday after a car hit him while he was crossing the road.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he died on Sunday while undergoing treatment, the police said.
