PALAKKAD: The Kollengode police on Sunday seized 2,030 litres of spirit from a house at Vadavannur Gaundarthara. Johnson George, 26, of Ullanadu, Pala, Kottayam, was arrested in this connection. The spirit was found concealed in 58 cans of 35 litres each. The police also seized one Indica car and an amount of Rs.16,500 from him. In another incident, the police seized 525 litres of spirit from Alathur. The contraband was found hidden in the farm of Kunnuparambil Mani of Irattakulam, Alathur. — Staff Reporter
