Honorarium for budding journalists likely

BANGALORE: Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy on Sunday announced that the State Government was planning to provide monthly honorarium for budding journalists.

Inaugurating a national seminar on the role and power of the regional media, the Chief Minister said that the Government would finalise the honorarium scheme based on the suggestions to be given by the academy.

Such a scheme would coincide with the silver jubilee of the formation of the academy, he said.

Such an honorarium would be of some help to budding journalists in taking care of their financial requirements, he said.
