Protection for Taslima assured

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy said here on Monday that security would be provided to Bangladeshi writer Taslima Nasreen if she came to the city to attend the case booked against her by the police.

He said the law would, however, take its own course regarding the Press Club incident and the issues relating to the attack on her.

Speaking to the media, the Chief Minister said he was not aware of the intricacies connected with the case booked against her or the one sought to be filed against the attackers.

Only the police knew the relevant sections of IPC, he added.
