Panel-fixed fee in four colleges
Kochi: The Kerala High Court on Monday directed the State Government and the Fee Regulatory Committee to ensure that the four self-financing medical colleges which had not signed agreements with the Government for seat-sharing would collect only the fee fixed by the committee.
Justice Thottathil B. Radhakrishnan passed the interim direction on a petition filed by Vaseem Ali M.A. and another petitioner from Aluva challenging the fixation of higher fee by the managements. The petitioners pointed out that the Fee Regulatory Committee went into the fixation of fee as per the professional college law. They said they were not willing to pay the exorbitant fee fixed by the managements.
