Chandigarh: The Haryana Technical Education Department will provide laptops free of cost to the Scheduled Caste students pursuing B.E., MBA, MCA and B.Pharma courses from the technical institutes in the State, at a cost of Rs.3.5 crore. Parliamentary Secretary for Technical Education Dillu Ram said here on Monday that the department has also organised special coaching for DET admission-2007 for the Scheduled Castes students and a number of students had benefited under this scheme.
