Survey of red ration cards urged

PUDUCHERRY: The Puducherry Munnetra Congress has urged the administration to conduct a survey to find out the number of people living in the Union Territory without the red ration card.

K. Lakshminarayanan, MLA, said here on Monday a number of eligible people were without the ration card. About 56,000 people, who had applied for the card last time, did not receive it. There would be an equal number of people who might not have even applied last time, he said.
