Chandigarh: The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Monday reserved verdict on the bail plea of B.I. S. Chahal, adviser to former Chief Minister Amarinder Singh, in the alleged land grab case in a village near Ludhiana. Justice Surya Kant reserved the judgment on the bail plea after hearing the arguments of the two sides. The case has been recently transferred to the court of Justice Kant from the court of Justice Uma Nath Singh, who was hearing the bail plea earlier. Chahal has been booked in some other cases also including the Ludhiana City Centre scam, non-payment of money to a contractor for the renovation of his kitchen and not returning a Mercedes car of a Patiala resident. The former Media Advisor is presently lodged in Patiala Central Jail in judicial custody. PTI
