Mittal’s advice

Every now and then we come across reports of eminent persons urging the young to excel in India, rather than go abroad in search of greener pastures (“Stay in India, Mittal tells IIT graduates,” Aug. 11). Laxmi Mittal made his billions overseas over a period of time. Only of late has he thought of investing in India and his projects are at the conceptual stage.

Indian professionals become successful and wealthy only when they venture abroad. It is, therefore, only natural for young professionals to seek opportunities abroad. They may return later if they find the climate favourable.

A. Mohan,

Chennai
