VISAKHAPATNAM: Srikakulam claimed the G. Kannam Raju Trophy thanks to the one outright win it scored in the ACA North Zone under-19 inter-District tournament that concluded at Vizianagaram on Monday. Srikakulam and Visakhapatnam tied with five points at the end of the league tournament after the rain-affected last round matches ended in draws on Monday. The former was declared winner thanks to its win over Vizianagaram in an earlier match. Play was possible only on the second and last day of the last round of matches. The scores: Vizianagaram 63 in 30 overs (G. Brahmananda Reddy three wickets for seven runs, Anuj Sabarwal three wickets for nine runs) drew with Visakhapatnam 22 for no loss in three overs. Srikakulam 179 in 49 overs (S.H. Srinivasa Rao 71, B. Anand 39, B. Janakiram 28, P. K. Chakravarthy three for 29, P. Sagar three for 35) drew with East Godavari 158 for nine in 39 overs (K.M. Raju 58, N. Satyanarayana 25, Janakiram three fo r 30, S.H. Srinivasa Rao three for 35).
