Non-local issue: TRS petitions employment officer

Staff Reporter

Sangareddy: Activists of the Telangana Rastra Samithi (TRS) Medak unit submitted a memorandum to the District Employment Officer Pentaiah urging him to remove names of non-local candidates enrolled through employment exchanges in the district. The TRS activists alleged that thousands of non-local youth had enrolled themselves in employment exchanges here with the help of corrupt officials. The leaders pointed out that a large number of Telangana youth had lost job opportunities because of this.

TRS leaders G. Beeraiah Yadav, M. Raghunandan Rao, P. Narahari Reddy, Balasanth Bharati and S. Venugopal, wanted the employment officer to strike out names of non-locals from the registers and to remove them from their jobs.

Locals only

The activists wanted that only locals should be employed through the employment exchanges.
