ARIYALUR: The Fast Track Court, Ariyalur, on Monday sentenced a person to seven rigorous imprisonment for causing grievous injuries to his brother.

Prosecution counsel said Kandasamy (35) of Malathankulam attacked his brother Dhanraj (32) following a family feud at their residence in Malathankulam near Keezha Pazhur. Dhanraj, who was seriously injured, was treated at the Thanjavur Medical College and Hospital.

Following a complaint by Dhanraj, the Keezhapazhur police registered a case against Kandasamy and arrested him.
