Students unhappy with PU results
Staff Reporter
Bangalore: Several parents and students gathered at the Pre-University Board here on Monday. They were unhappy about the way the board conducted the second Pre-University supplementary examination. Jyothi Raghav, a parent (name changed), told The Hindu that her son had appeared for the supplementary examination. “The examination was conducted in a shoddy manner. They announced the dates soon after the results were out. A week after the supplementary examination was conducted, the board announced the results. I am sure that the evaluation was done in a hurry,” she alleged. A student said that he had passed in all subjects, but had secured low marks in the PU examination conducted in April/May 2007. The parents and students were not allowed to enter the building. Many stood outside and were heard voicing their ire against the officials. Meanwhile, the officials of the PU Board were not available for comment.
