Housewife killed in accident
A housewife died after the scooter on which she was travelling along with her husband was hit by a motorcycle at Uppal on Sunday. The police said Sabitha, 40, a resident of Bagh Amberpet, was going on some work along with her husband, Agamaiah, when the accident took place. Her husband escaped with minor injuries.
Pedestrian run over by lorry dies
A pedestrian was killed after he was run over by a lorry at Pahadisherif on Sunday. The deceased person was identified as Vijay, 35, a native of Maharashtra.
Woman commits suicide
A thirty-nine-year-old woman committed suicide by setting herself ablaze at her house at Patel Nagar in Amberpet on Sunday. P. Lalitha killed herself as she was suffering from serious health problems, the police said.
Rs. 1.10 lakh stolen
Burglars decamped with a suitcase containing Rs. 1.10 lakh by distracting the attention of a builder Krishna Rao’s car driver, Afzal, at Ameerpet on Monday. Rao came to Aditya Enclave and went inside to get some documents photocopied. He left the suitcase containing cash in the car and asked the driver to wait in the vehicle.
A few moments later, an unidentified person approached Afzal saying some currency notes had fallen on the ground. By the time the driver stepped out and collected some notes, the offender disappeared with the suitcase, the S.R. Nagar police said.
