Lift irrigation projects to be set up

BHUBANESWAR: The Orissa Government on Tuesday decided to set up as many as 1,000 lift irrigation points in the State every year to augment availability of water for irrigation. A decision to this effect was taken at a high-level meeting held at the Secretariat.

The meeting that reviewed the progress in the implementation of various irrigation projects was chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
