Music festival at Alliance Francaise

PUDUCHERRY: The Alliance Francaise of Puducherry and the Department of Puducherry have come together to organise the “Fete de la Musique” on August 18.

The festivities would kick-start at 5 p.m. at Maison Colombani on Beach Road at the Dupleix Statue and end with French singer Julietter Katz.

On a moving stage will be a Tamil folk music group ‘Makkal Isai’, which will move to Bharathi Park through the Beach Road.

Eighteen musicians and singers of Genesis Orchestra will present a Bollywood show at 7.30 p.m. at the park.

French group Ziskan will perform from 9.30 p.m. onwards. The evening will end with a jam session with 42 musicians and singers on stage at Bharathi Park.
