Madanapalle temple gets a facelift

Madanapalle: The 380-year-old Prasanna Venkataramanaswamy temple here is being given a facelift, according to Temple Trustee Chairman K. Reddeppa Rao. One Kalyanamandapam and a kitchen will be constructed at a cost of Rs. 50 lakh. The present trustees collected utensils weighing 4,500 kg from the public, said Executive Officer K.Venkatramana. Eleven panchaloha vahanams were ordered from Tamil Nadu. - Correspondent
