Thiruvananthapuram: The Changanassery-based Nyoonapaksha Avakasha Samrakshana Samithi has charged anti-minority elements with unleashing violence after being taken aback by the show of strength by various churches in Kottayam on Sunday. According to a release here on Tuesday, the samithi warned of a strong reaction if the violence with the tacit approval of the administration continued. It alleged that these sections tried to disrupt the public meeting by pelting stones without any provocation at the people. They were responsible for the damage caused to Thirunakkara Maidan also. The samithi protested against the beating up of believers at Manorama Junction and framing of false cases. The samithi meeting was chaired by convener Fr.John Pulisseri and addressed by Fr.Mathew Changankary, Fr.Philip Nelpuraparambil, Fr.George Manthurthy, Joseph Tito and Georgekutty Manamel among others.
