Independence Day celebrated

NEW DELHI: A ceremony to commemorate the 60th Independence Day was organised at Town Hall here on Tuesday by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi. Mayor Arti Mehra hoisted the Tricolour and administered an oath to the municipal councillors to maintain unity and integrity. Commenting on Monday’s violence at the meeting of the House, Ms. Mehra said: “It was deplorable and will not be allowed again.”
