Syrian Minister visits Delhi Metro

NEW DELHI: Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Moualem and Vice Foreign Minister Ahmed Farooq Arnous visited the Delhi Metro railway on Tuesday. The visiting dignitaries were escorted by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Managing Director E. Sreedharan from Central Secretariat to Rajiv Chowk (Connaught Place) and back.

Syrian Ambassador to India Fahd Salim and Indian Ambassador to Syria G. Mukhopadhaya were also present. A DMRC delegation led by Dr. Sreedharan had earlier visited Damascus to explore the possibility of preparing a report for the Metro project.
