MTNL announces new schemes

NEW DELHI: To mark the 60th Independence Day, Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited on Tuesday announced two new schemes for mobile subscribers.
It also launched a new camera handset for those subscribing to its CDMA Garuda connection.
Reduced rent
“We have reduced one-time rent for Dolphin Jeevan Saathi plan from Rs.450 to Rs.100 for a month for existing MTNL and BSNL subscribers living in Delhi and NCR. Similarly we have launched a new Dolphin plan with a monthly rental of just Rs.75 and call rates as low as 50 paise per minute for local calls and Rs.1.75 for STD calls. SMS rates have also been fixed at just 25 paise (local), Re.1 (national) and Rs.2.50 (international). The scheme will be valid for 90 days,” said MTNL (Delhi) Executive Director A.K. Arora.
