80 acres given to JNTU college

VIZIANAGARAM: The administration has earmarked 80 acres of land to JNTU Engineering College campus at Dwarapudi. K. Veerabhadra Swamy, MLA, handed over the documents in the presence of Collector B. Kishore to campus Special Officer V. Ramachandra Raju. The Collector said that 20 more acres would be assigned to the college after receiving approval from the government.
Admissions to five engineering branches with an intake of 60 candidates in each branch had already begun and classes would be held initially at APSRTC Regional Manager’s office building, said Prof. Raju. Faculty from Kakinada and Anantapur would be deputed for conducting classes. JNTU Academic and Planning Director E. Saibaba Reddy, Evaluation Director K. Vijayakumar Reddy and others were present.
