Remission granted

Thiruvananthapuram: The Government on Tuesday ordered granting of remission and release of 22 prisoners, including those undergoing life imprisonment, who had been in prison for over 14 years.

The order issued on the basis of the recommendations of the prison advisory committee will benefit 10 prisoners in Thiruvananthapuram Central Jail, three of Nettukaltheri Open Jail, one each from Neyyattinkara Women’s Jail and Viyyur Central Jail and seven from Kannur Central Jail.
