Bangalore: Skipper Yere Goud’s unbeaten 72 guided KSCA XI to 265 for nine in the stipulated 100 overs against KSCA President’s XI in the KSCA All India invitation tournament final that commenced at the Chinnaswamy Stadium here on Tuesday. Goud’s laboured knock that spanned 242 deliveries and featured 10 fours revived the host’s innings which at one stage wobbled at 62 for four in 26.2 overs. On the opening day, seamers Md. Arif and S. Arvind scythed through the top-order and with the spinners too chipping in, KSCA XI’s decision to bat seemed set to end in despair. Deepak Chougule (38) offered some resistance initially and then Goud along with Thilak Naidu (36) tried to paper over the cracks. The scores (final): KSCA XI 265 for nine in 100 overs (Yere Goud 72 n.o.) vs KSCA President’s XI.
