Bangalore: E.A.S. Prasanna hailed India’s 1-0 Test series triumph in England. “It is a wonderful feeling to watch our team win this series. The fact that we won against England in England is a heartening fact,” Prasanna said. “All the players did well and Anil, with his century, played an important role. Yes I did expect him to get more wickets in the England second innings, may be two or three more but I know he gave his best and tried hard,” Prasanna added. The former off-spinner, however, had his reservations about the drawn third Test at the Oval. “Yes we are all excited about our series victory, but that excitement has been diluted by the fact that the final Test ended in a draw when in fact, we might have won it by may be even 10 wickets if only we had enforced the follow-on,” Prasanna said. — Principal Correspondent
