YSR greets people

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy greeted people on the eve of 60th Independence Day here on Wednesday. Seeking the blessings of the people on the occasion, he said the Government would continue to work dedicatedly for the uplift of the poor as it had done in the last three years. Jalayagnam, ‘paavala vaddi’, pensions (to the aged, widows and handicapped) and free power supply to farm sector were some of the programmes extended by his Government to implement the party’s manifesto, he said. He said the State is committed to the development of farm sector. -Special Correspondent
