“Remove encroachments”

The Periyar Dravidar Kazhagam has sought removal of encroachments in Corporation limits. A resolution to this effect was adopted at a meeting of the organisation held at Kambarasampettai near here. It wanted the authorities to take flood prevention measures on a war footing before the onset of the monsoon season to save areas such as Karumandapam, Kumaran Nagar, Srinivasa Nagar, Ramalinga Nagar and Fathima Nagar from flooding.
