SFI seeks Central law
Staff Reporter
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: SFI national secretary K.K. Ragesh has called for a central law to regulate admissions to self-financing professional colleges in the country.
He said at a press conference here on Tuesday that the new law should also be made applicable to deemed universities. The law should specify that admissions to 50 per cent of seats in self-financing colleges should benefit those from the socially and educationally backward sections. All admissions should be made from the rank list prepared by the Government.
