Power cuts in several areas of the Capital

NEW DELHI: Several areas in the Capital continued to reel under prolonged and frequent power cuts on Tuesday as the city faced a shortfall of about 400 MW of power. Nathpa Jhakri, which supplies about 330 MW of power to the city, continued to remain incapacitated and Delhi’s own generation stood at 1,136 MW. Power cuts ranging from four and six hours were reported from several areas of the Capital. While the Badarpur thermal power station supplied 431 MW of power, the generation from Gas Turbine and I P Power was 182 MW and 108 MW, respectively. Pragati Power and Raj Ghat supplied 298 MW and 119 MW. .
