Correspondent
Kakinada: A workshop on welfare of HIV-afflicted people will be held during the first week of September to evolve an action plan for presenting to the government, according to M. Pavan Kumar, Additional DMHO.
Participating as chief guest at a meeting organised by the Coastal Network of HIV Positive People on ‘Promoting access campaign’, Dr. Kumar said the affected people need not get disheartened as the government was now providing the much-needed medical care.
“They need not buy medicine as it is being made available to the affected persons free of cost at all the PHCs, government hospitals and even in clinics run by NGOs,” he said.
