St. Joseph’s bags overall championship

CHENNAI: St. Joseph’s College of Engineering, with a tally of 198 points, bagged the overall championship in the St. Joseph’s South-India inter-collegiate athletic meet, which concluded here on Tuesday.

The men’s title was claimed by Loyola College with 149 points, while the women’s honours went to St. Joseph’s College of Engineering (156 points).

B. Baskar of A.M. Jain College was adjudged the ‘best male athlete’ while the ‘best female athlete’ award went to R. Elavarasi of St. Joseph’s.

The President of the TNAA, W.I. Davaram, was the chief guest and the Director of the St. Joseph’s College of Engineering, B. Babu Manoharan presided over the valedictory function.
