Ghaziabad: A first information report was, on Wednesday, quashed against a 92-year-old freedom fighter and soldier of the Indian National Army led by Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in Bulandshahr district. The FIR was registered against Captain Abbas Ali for the theft of a sword of Mysore’s Nawab Haider Ali, according to District Magistrate of Bulandshahr Dr M K S Sundaram . Haider Ali’s nephew had settled near Chhatari. Ali was the managing trustee of the committee of the museum which housed the sword. The FIR was registered at Chhatari, he said.
